Seasonal Sales Associate Jobs

Barbecues Galore has five gorgeous retail stores — three in Ontario and two in Calgary — offering the nation's best collection of barbecues, fireplaces and patio furniture. Our culture is built on respect, exemplary customer service, and of course an unflagging passion for grilled chicken wings. All we need is a few new team members with similar values and fresh perspectives to fill out our roster.
We're looking to add new members to our team with a similar love of chicken wings (or really any grilled good – vegans & vegetarians welcome!) and a passion for delivering next level customer service. Sales experience is a plus, but we've got a fool-proof training system in place to ensure you're a barbecue (and patio furniture) expert with the confidence to close any sale. This is a seasonal position, but we will always find a permanent spot on our team if we're a good fit.
Responsibilities

• Respond to all customer requests promptly and to completion. Ensure proper follow up and take ownership of all service related issues as they arise
• Engage, and re-engage, with customers from the moment they walk in the door
• An ongoing commitment to any training or development that is necessary to carry out all sales functions
• Understand the point-of-sale computer system in a timely fashion to ensure the professional completion of all sales transactions
• Help to maintain all areas of the store in a uniform manner
• Ensure all store displays are kept full, and that all merchandise is to be clean at all times
• Strive to constantly improve and grow personal sales through increased product knowledge, and hands-on exposure to products
• Ensure that all product carried is being displayed, notably getting new items on the sales floor as soon as possible

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and some evenings
• A general level of knowledge working with computers. We'll train you on our system, but email is a huge part of our customer interactions
• A genuine desire to help people and a healthy respect for co-workers are absolutely essential qualities we're looking for when adding people to our team
• An interest in barbecues and food is always welcome! We've got competitive barbecue teams on our staff, as well as some exemplary home grillmasters
• Previous sales experience, while an asset, is not required as training will be provided

Compensation & Benefits

• Lots of free food! We have a ton of store-use barbecues and are always throwing something on the grill for employees to enjoy
• Compensation range: $15.50 - $17/hr
