The Role

Our Project Managers are restless for innovation. They are at the edge of technology, changing the way our customers implement business solutions. Your role will be to lead the project management of our SAP Workload Migration and Modernisation projects for our clients. These are exciting, complex, transformational projects that range from more traditional technologies through to public and private Cloud based engagements.

You will join the Kyndryl Architect Profession, working closely with other Kyndryl Architects, Project Managers and technical subject matter experts. You will create High-Level Designs and participate in Design Authorities to create the solutions that drive our Clients forward.

Who you are

Are you an experienced Project Manager confident in working with clients, internal project teams, and a wide range of external stakeholders? Do you have a desire to lead, challenge, and succeed by taking responsibility for the project management of large, complex technology projects?

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Manage and implement SAP Release Management Process.
• Works in tandem with the Transformation Owners to secure understanding of the desired requirements by the business, and then works with the team of Managers and Leads to translate priorities and deliverables.
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the project deliverables within assigned timing and funds.
• Identify and evaluate project risks and issues and devise and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Responsible for overall Technical Architecture, Roadmaps and Application Life Cycle Management within SAP portfolio.
• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
• Responsible for providing overall direction, coordination, and completion of all technical deliverables within SAP Portfolio.
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed. Engage with key stakeholders to insure alignment on expectations and deliverables.
• Managing SAP projects, developing detailed project plans, and providing metrics for reporting.
• Scope, plan and manage projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality.
• Ensure overall governance of SAP Technical Solutions throughout the Application Lifecycle Management.
• Agile mind-set and familiar with Agile Project Management principles.
• Experience in successfully managed critical SAP environments.
• Coordinate project activities amongst the functional and technical team members consultants.
• Proven success in coaching, leading, motivating and developing team members.
• Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.

• Establish and maintain risk assessment to identify and assess the material risks that arise in their area of responsibility.
• Provides project management expertise and leads key project work streams, working with the full project life cycle, following project Governance processes.
• Experience and responsibility for multiple large, complex projects with greater impact to the enterprise.

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

• Strong client and 3rd party stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of workload migration methodologies, and the types of tools used for discovery and migration execution.
• Completion of recognised project management training, or professional certification (e.g. PMP/PMI, Prince II).
• In depth knowledge and repeated experience in leading large SAP workload migration and modernisation projects.
• Experience in managing cloud migration or modernisation projects (e.g. migrating workloads to Microsoft Azure Cloud / AWS / Google / other cloud providers)
• Experience in MS Project for creation and maintenance of project plans

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :

• Experience in managing data or application modernisation projects
• Cloud certifications (Foundational level)
• Agile project management certification
