Robotics Technician Jobs

JRSS is seeking Robotics Technicians on behalf of a client of ours in the Industrial Automation Industry. As a Robotics Technician, you will design, program, commission, and install Automation Solutions that meet customer specifications and deliver efficient and high-quality controls systems. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical teams, as well as internal and external groups, to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Perform robot simulation studies to validate reach and cycle-time constraints
• Monitor timelines and resources to keep projects on track and on budget
• Collaborate with customers to understand and follow design specifications
• Represent the organization in a professional manner
• Design, program, and test automation solutions on our shop floor
• Travel to customer sites to commission and support systems
• Work with Safety Engineers to ensure safety standards are met
• Write reports, user and maintenance manuals, procedures, and qualification protocols
• Prepare testing plans, design specifications, network diagrams, and other technical documents
• Integrate controls systems into production facilities by communicating with upstream and downstream equipment and data management systems

Qualifications

• Three (3) to eight (8) years of relevant industry experience
• Industrial Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman)
• A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics
• Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence, IFM, Fanuc iRVision, Omron)
• Strong computer skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
• HMI (RS View Studio, FactoryTalk View Studio)
• Allen Bradley PLC (RSLogix 5/500/5000 and Studio 5000 – Logix Designer); Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron an asset

Travel

• Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time to customer locations
