Job Description

As an integral part of the ParaMed team, the Rehab Supervisor is accountable for the supervision of allied health care professionals who are caring for clients within the community. You will have the knowledge to assess, implement and evaluate a wide range of clinical care interventions to ensure the delivery of safe, quality, and ethical care.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide ongoing leadership through regular huddles, face to face meetings and one-on-ones.
  • Engage staff in problem solving, offering education, coaching, and mentoring in resolution of problems.
  • Maintain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to provide safe, efficient, effective service in all areas of practice by keeping abreast of changes in practice setting that affect scope of practice.
  • Engage patients in problem solving using a collaborative approach, offering health teaching, rapport building and trust to identify patient health care needs, strengths, capacities, and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing team members to support clinical documentation and submission requirements according to specific funder reporting guidelines.
  • Respond to and advises/resolves concerns from community staff, patients/families, and other team members.
  • Initiate patient safety incident investigations and documents to ensure timelines and action plans are met.
  • Supervise and support allied health care professionals to ensure practices comply with all federal and provincial legislated standards of practice as well as company policies and procedures.


What you bring:

  • Possesses an understanding of the principles of community health care practices
  • Commitment to professional development in clinical practice that is relevant to home health care
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines is required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills
  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Strong track record of effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
