As freshwater access becomes regulated and scarce, companies from energy and construction to food and beauty are turning to CarboNet to reduce, recycle, and renew the water they depend on to thrive.

Our advanced chemistry has redefined modern water management, introducing solutions that are cleaner, faster, and safer to use.

We’re building on this strength and looking to add a full-time QA/QC Chemist to our team in Vancouver, Canada.

This role is foundational as we scale R&D and look to create the tests and benchmarks for several new products. You’ll develop systems, supervise junior scientists, and boost the labs performance and scalability.

The Role

* Closely work with the QA/QC and production team to carry out quality control testing and related experiments on current and newly developed products.

* Develop and implement quality control tests, procedures, and specifications.

* Ensure compliance with regulations through auditing and quality systems.

* Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Quality Control documentation (batch records, QC testing, and non-conformance reports).

* Support product development by developing and managing QC release assays, documentation for final product release, and stability testing.

* Perform analytical experiments to fulfill project needs in a dynamic environment.

* Work with the analytical chemistry team to ensure quality control of raw materials, chemical intermediates, and final products.

* Conduct research to discover, develop, refine, and evaluate new products applied in wastewater treatment.

* Write and prepare scientific reports for use in grant applications, internal research guidance, and patent submission.

* Interface with technical and non-technical teams.

* Ensure safety guidelines are always adhered to within the laboratory and production facilities.

Key Competencies

* Proven record in quality control

* Strong knowledge of quality protocols and continuous improvement

* Strong understanding of experimental design

* Proficiency working with colorimetric assays, titration, UV-VIS spectrometry

* Aptitude to operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills

* Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision

* Keen attention to detail

Credentials

* B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field or 5+ years of experience leading independentprojects in laboratory setting

* Impeccable safety record

* Experience in water treatment a distinct advantage
