What You Will Do:

• Communicate with Production, Maintenance, Sales, and Marketing (when required) of
• Contact potential vendors for pricing materials; and maintain price-lists with alternate
• Suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency of materials being purchased.
• Received material.
• Matching up Packing Slips, Purchase Orders and Invoices and making sure they are
• Scheduling of inbound material by communicating with the receiving team
• Generate the Purchase Order in the system and electronically send the Purchase order to
• Damaged or missing material.
• Processed in preparation for accounting to process payments to the vendors.
• The Supplier.
• Pricing can be verified against the vendor invoice.
• Electronically receive materials from the order and generate a Purchase Receipt
• Source materials for upcoming projects
• Coordinate the shipping of material to the plant.
• Contact vendors to correct order price and/or quantity discrepancies, or in the case of
• Maintain records of Purchase Orders so they can be matched to the Packing Slips and
• Receive vendor invoices and verify the quantities prices match the Purchase Order

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of purchasing principles and practices
• Proficient in MS Office programs
• Numeric, oral and written language applications
• Minimum 2 years’ previous purchasing experience
• Logistics experience including cross border shipping
• Experience with ERP is an asset
