The RTOC Group integrates real-time wellbore placement and drilling optimization solutions into our client's core business.


Role Description

This is a contract Project Planner - O&G role for The RTOC Group located in Calgary, AB, with flexibility for some remote work. The Project Planner - O&G will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution meets client requirements and contractual agreements; the ideal candidate must have experience in oil and gas, and must have excellent communication and analytical skills.


Qualifications

  • Highly experienced working in the front-end projects in the Operator companies
  • Ability to develop project plans with limited information using past experiences and engage effectively with stakeholders to obtain the required information
  • 12+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling for Oil and Gas industries (Unconventional Gas Project work is preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Efficiency in Primavera, other planning tools, and efficient MS office skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean organization, on portfolio of projects and deliver credible results with limited time at hand
  • Good verbal and written English skills, strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to review, audit the EPC contractor schedule, and monitor schedule trends to ensure alignment with the internal integrated master schedule
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6
  • Ability to hold interactive planning sessions and drive alignment to get consensus and results
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset
  • University degree in Engineering or a related field
