Job Description
For two decades, our client has been a leader in British Columbia’s building service industry. Offering an extensive building restoration product suite, they support commercial, residential, and engineering clients with top of the line restoration services.Their project managers offer years of knowledge ensuring that each project is specified properly and managed effectively. They are looking to hire a Project Manager to join their superstar team as they expand their product offering to come support the growth and manage the opportunities and projects through to completion.


The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects, focusing on production and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management within the commercial painting, building restoration and renewals industry. This role requires excellent project management skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality results within specified timelines and budgets.


Responsibilities


  • Estimate project costs and develop detailed project plans, crew, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Lead project teams, including crews and subcontractors, and provide practical training and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage project activities from pre-production to post-production, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to project specifications.
  • Update clients on project status and provide regular progress reports.
  • Secure new business opportunities through relationship-building and account management efforts.
  • Meet with clients on-site, understand their needs, and provide estimation, consultation, and quotations for project requirements.
  • Answer client inquiries and address project-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Analyze project metrics and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.


Requirements


  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the commercial painting, restoration, or interior renovation industry.
  • Detail oriented, taking pride in the quality of your work.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Knowledge of project estimation, planning, and execution.
  • You want to work for a small business where your opinion matters and decisions are made quickly.
  • Driven self starter, with a preference for shaping your own schedule.
  • Experience with Google Sheets and CRM.
  • Resilient, seeing obstacles as opportunities to improve.
  • Proven dedication to ongoing education to improve your industry knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate project estimates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
