Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee our Residential Solar Division and help steer the future of solar. This is the perfect fit for someone who is passionate about renewable energy and sustainability and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, able to take ownership of their work, and want to be part of an entrepreneurial and fast-growing team. As a Project Manager, you will be acting as a liaison between all areas of the business, clients, and subcontractors. JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, the Project Manager (PM) will work closely with the Sales, Design, and Operations teams to support all technical aspects of project delivery from conception and proposal through to the final completion. The PM will need to have the technical chops to communicate with the installation teams, the Electrical Safety Authority and other technical teams while also being able to communicate effectively with our clients. The PM role will be fast-paced, and the successful applicant will need to be comfortable to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of organization.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with equipment procurement and the tracking of equipment orders
  • Oversee personnel development and succession planning by teaching, mentoring, and growing the

  • Coordinate and manage various subcontractors throughout the province
  • Communicating with our clients
  • Drive continuous improvement of site performance
  • Forecast and tracks change orders and scope changes
  • Participate in site visits for project kickoffs, meetings with hydro company representatives, project
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies
  • Provide direction and leadership in all aspects of operations and maintenance
  • Maintaining project schedules and budgets
  • Plans, system layouts, electrical diagrams and structural drawings
  • Create a culture of success by contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Oversee all client relations
  • Closeouts, or as additionally required
  • Participate in regular site visits
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and various internal departments •
  • Keep the projects organized and moving towards the goal of being completed
  • Administration duties/tasks required and all other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate with our electrical and mechanical construction teams
  • Provide regular updates on project status and milestones
  • Coordinate with engineers for the preparation and delivery of project design documents, such as site

Scheduling and communicating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

Coordination and management of suppliers and subcontractors in all capacities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education preferred: Master or Journeyman/woman Electrician, Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy, Business and/or an Electrical background
  • Sound judgmental powers; ability to respond promptly to the needs of the clients and internal
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, and Word
