Job Description

Title: Project Manager- GMP

Location: 19 Green Belt Drive, Toronto, ON (Hybrid Role- 2-3 days/week onsite required)

Duration: 6 months+


The Project Manager, Operations is responsible for leading, co-leading or supporting cross-functional team efforts for new product introductions as well as complex Life Cycle Management projects and programs (such as but not limited to site transfers, line extensions, divestitures, discontinuations and acquisitions) as well as other projects as assigned.


The Project Manager, Operations makes decisions that have an impact on the planning and implementation of product availability, improvements for standards, processes, and technologies within his/her region.


The Project Manager, Operations works independently on developing and maintaining effective project plans and related dashboards, compliant recommendations and making decisions related to timing and Product of projects, process improvements, Management Action Plans and Innovation projects that creates value within the local and global organization.


This position works across functions within the value stream, including Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Deliver with minimal oversight.


Responsibilities:

  • Requirements.
  • Strives to continuously improve processes. Utilizes project metrics and lessons learned to improve business results and new product launch processes.
  • Maintains all systems and tools necessary to appropriately track initiatives as well pipeline status.
  • Communicates project status and follows-up on key milestones. Updates senior management on progress and elevates and resolves issues as required.
  • Document and communicate project timelines and risks to team members, sponsors and key business partners.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with Global business partners ensuring alignment with Global and Regional priorities and timing as well as communication of Canadian
  • Represents the team as required in but not limited to Commercial Readiness/Core Team meetings, Business Intelligence Meetings, Leadership Team updates.
  • Plan and lead meetings, clarify individual roles and responsibilities and define expectations and success factors for the team.
  • Responsible for Go/No Go recommendation to management and providing feedback to the team.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes while leading initiatives.
  • Engages cross-functional team members required for the project.
  • Lead team efforts throughout the process, ensuring business priorities are considered, challenging as necessary, lending support where there are issues.


Required Minimum Education:

  • Required Years of Related Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry, with experience across multiple functional areas (Supply Chain, Commercial, Access, Regulatory, or Quality) and, therapeutic areas
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, engineering, or science, Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or actively working towards achieving one; PE / Six sigma designation, MBA an asset


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical and analytic skills
  • Demonstrated learning agility in multiple functions or industry experiences
  • Strong capabilities in negotiating and influencing without authority
  • Good strategic and critical thinking ability
  • Proficient in MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships, to lead without authority, and to inspire followership among
  • Proficient with project scheduling software such as MS Project
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven track record to lead and work collaboratively both internally and externally
  • Cross-functional teams


Top 3, non-negotiable skills:

  • Pharma manufacturing/supply chain/operations experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships, to lead without authority, and to inspire followership among cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management accreditation (PMP).
