Production Technologist/Technician Jobs

R&D PM is a diverse boutique consulting firm servicing a broad range of clients in various industries.. We are currently seek a CAD/CAM Technologist or Mechanical Engineering Technologist to fill the roll of Production Technologist/Technician supporting our clients.The primary responsibilities include production support, 3D modelling, detail drawings, and CAM (Fusion 360, CNC/NC & 3D Printing).In addition, the candidate will be responsible for customer support and translation of requirements to production ready drawings.

This opportunity is open to contract, part time or full time engagement to Technologists or Trade Professionals with equivalent skills and experience. We are also very open to persons who are semi-retired that seek opportunity for part-time engagement.

This role involves computer modelling, production drawing generation and CNC support (coding) for multi-axis router and 3D printing.The role will support a range of manufacturing processes including rotational molding, injection molding, 3D printing, CNC Routing and custom fabrication.The responsibilities include

• Drafting & Modelling (Solidworks)
• Technical writing
• Analyze customer requirements and developed designs/drawings and dimensional information
• CAD/CAM & Developing Models for 3D Printing
• Production Support including CNC programs via Fusion 360
• 3D Scanning
• Detailed drawings (rotational Molding, injection molding, multi-axis routing/milling, custom manufacturing)

The candidate will have

• 5+ Years experience in manufacturing
• High aptitude for detail-oriented work and multi-tasking
• Reading, interpreting and analyzing engineered drawings and blueprints
• Capability to work in a high paced diverse manufacturing environment
• Technology Diploma (CAD/CAM or MECH) or equivalent combination of skills and experience (trades professional)
• Solidworks experience including detailed drawings generation for manufacturing

The ideal candidate will have

• Experience with 3D modelling specifically for 3D printing
• Experience with 3D scanning and translation to models / manufacturing drawings
• Experience with production support (jigs, fixtures, BOMs, estimates, take-offs, etc.)
• Experience with Fusion 360 & 5-Axis Router Programming
