Prep Cook (Part-Time) Jobs

Barque Smokehouse on Roncesvalles is looking for a prep cook to join our friendly team, on a part time basis. The ideal candidate has at least a couple of years of restaurant experience. A passion for BBQ is a bonus!

We are a family neighbourhood restaurant that has just celebrated its 11th year in business. The majority of our back of house team has been with us for three years or more. Our menu changes twice annually and we strive to keep things interesting for both guests and staff alike.

Though the restaurant does not exist without guests, it also needs happy, hard-working staff to function and thrive. Ensuring staff development and safety is important to us. We speak with our employees regularly to ensure they're happy, growing, and maintaining a work/life balance.

We are part of the Ontario Living Wage Network which means our starting wage is no less than $22.25 hourly (more depending on experience and aptitude.) All staff receive annual allowances for extended health care and paid personal/sick days off, reflective of how many hours they work weekly. We also have coverage with Humanacare, a dedicated provider for mental health care.
