Policy Analyst Jobs

For our federal government client, we are looking fora bilingual motivated and detail-oriented policy analyst for 22 weeks remotely in a contract position. The candidate must have a valid Reliability status.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare notes based on research through progress reports, checklists, tables or Executive summaries; and:
• Conduct research on current issues and opportunities in the policy landscape.
• Assist in the tracking, monitoring and documentation of issues related to specific policies and various business documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Develop and implement new policy initiatives, including but not limited to: policy development, stakeholder outreach, research, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop policy analysis reports for internal stakeholders, including but not limited to: board members, staff, legislators, and the public.
• Perform research and gather documents to assist in the preparation of policy content through various Microsoft Office suite or EDMRS (Enterprise document management reporting system) tools, such as: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, GcDocs or RDRIMS) and communication channel tools (emails, bulletins, intranet or internet updates, share drives, enterprise document systems);
• Analyze and develop policy recommendations for the organization.
• Analyze and evaluate existing policies, including but not limited to: federal, state, local, and regional legislation.

Skills Required

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience in public policy analysis or related field (required).
• Strong analytical skills with a strong interest in developing policy recommendations from research.
