GHD has a bilingual Human Resources graduate opportunity for our People (HR) team. This opportunity will be based in either of GHD’s Mississauga / Whitby / Waterloo / Markham /Montreal offices. Liaising with, and in support of, our People team, you will also have opportunities to build your networks and learn from and work with some of GHD’s most promising professionals.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Conduct stay, engagement and exit interviews
  • Provide support to People Business Partners and People Leaders
  • Respond to basic HR inquiries (in-person and/or virtually) and provide general guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and managers across Canada
  • Investigate and provide informative feedback on People Listening data
  • Run and analyze various employee/people team reports
  • Learn GHD people software and systems and advise employees on best practices
  • Provide our employees with an excellent employee onboarding and offboarding experience
  • Participate in Centers of Excellence (COEs) initiatives such as; global rewards and benefits, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development and wellness
  • Involved in auditing of employee files and records
  • Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
  • Engage with Young Professionals team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
  • Learn GHD people software and systems and advise employees on best practices


For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field with less than two years’ related experience post-degree
  • A willingness to be ready to help with tasks big or small
  • Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
  • Outstanding MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • A creative problem-solver with a mindset to identify ways to enhance and always improve our employee experience
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to focus on small details and identify discrepancies or errors in data
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy building relationships
  • Fluently bilingual with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Strong sense of motivation and a thirst for knowledge
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently

Tâches et responsabilités :


  • Répondre à des questions sommaires sur les ressources humaines (en personne et virtuellement) et fournir des informations générales sur les politiques et procédures de RH aux employés et employées ainsi qu’aux responsables dans l’ensemble du Canada.
  • Fournir de l’aide pour l’administration des politiques et procédures de ressources humaines, incluant le recrutement, l’accueil, la gestion du rendement et les relations de travail.
  • Contribuer à l’audit de fichiers et de dossiers d’employés et employées.
  • Interagir avec l’équipe des Jeunes professionnels.
  • Étudier les données de People Listening et fournir des rétroactions informatives.
  • Réaliser des entrevues de suivi, d’embauche et de fin d’emploi.
  • Générer et analyser divers rapports sur les employés et employées et l’équipe de ressources humaines.
  • Fournir à notre personnel une excellente expérience d’accueil et de départ.
  • Maintenir à jour et assurer l’exactitude des dossiers et des documents de RH.
  • Participer aux initiatives des centres d’excellence (CE) comme : les rémunérations globales et les avantages sociaux, l’acquisition des talents, la gestion des talents, l’apprentissage et le perfectionnement, ainsi que le bien-être.
  • Apprendre le fonctionnement du logiciel et des systèmes de RH et conseiller les employés et employées sur les meilleures pratiques.
  • Soutenir les partenaires d’affaires en ressources humaines et les directeurs et directrices des RH.


Pour réussir dans ce poste, vous devrez détenir les aptitudes et qualifications suivantes :


  • Excellente connaissance de la suite Office de Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Bilinguisme (excellentes habiletés en communication écrite et orale en anglais et en français).
  • Capacité à résoudre les problèmes de façon créative, avec une mentalité cherchant à définir des façons de continuellement améliorer l’expérience employé.
  • Volonté d’aider à accomplir des tâches de tous genres.
  • Excellentes compétences organisationnelles, avec la capacité de prioriser les projets et les tâches dans un environnement où le rythme est soutenu.
  • Grand souci du détail, aptitude à se concentrer sur les menus détails et à détecter les divergences ou les erreurs dans les données.
  • Intérêt à créer des liens.
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe et individuellement.
  • Capacité d’apprendre en cours d’emploi et de mettre en pratique la théorie.
  • Grande motivation, soif de connaissances.
  • Baccalauréat en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe avec moins de deux ans d’expérience connexe après l’obtention du diplôme.
