Job Description
The Opportunity


BRC is an Office Furniture Manufacturer looking for a Packer to join our Assembly Team on either the Day Shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or Afternoon shift, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. If you are looking to develop your skills in a high performing and exclusive work environment, then this is the job for you!


The Job


The Packer is responsible for performing routine and varied tasks in alignment with production processes within the assembly department. They ensure quality standards of products and consistently adhere to Health & Safety and BRC policies.


Requirements


BRC is seeking a passionate candidate possessing the following experience and competencies:


  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
  • Ensure that all products are packed in accordance with BRC packaging standards
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
  • Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
  • May be required to operate and attend to manual and automated tools.
  • Perform all work to BRC standards and ensure final product meets quality standards. Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
  • Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
  • Ensure that Packed Products are moved to the shipping department in a timely manner to meet the shipping schedule
  • Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and BRC
  • Ensure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to
  • Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety


Hours of Work: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. OR 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
