Job Description

We are a tightly knit, experienced, energetic and dynamic pediatric Occupational Therapist team owned and operated by an OT.

Join us for 2 years in a physically active role (lots of moving!), in our new 3000sq ft space, with plenty of natural light that backs onto several kms of local hiking trails (Cobble Hill Mountain). Yes, we also access these during our client sessions or lunch breaks.

Start date: ideallyAug 28, 2023 (flexible)

Position may also be well suited to a NEW GRAD with a dedication to pediatric population, and willingness to work hard in order to access and implement the many practices our team incorporates in our intervention.

It would be a steep learning curve, which we know how to support, for a candidate who has demonstrated excellence in their endeavours to date.

Hands-on, direct therapy with children 1:1 and in small groups, and may also include working within families’ homes, pools, and the community (outdoors or independent schools).

If you like a busy workplace, are efficient and organized, feel energized when spending time with kids with special needs, and are excited to learn evidence based practices to effectively serve this population, this position is for you! There are 1000s of ways to innovate within our team.

Sharpe OT Services Inc. offers its employees:

  • Competitive salary, based on experience and attributes of the applicant
  • Mac/iCloud based systems, EMR record keeping (Therabyte), and tech support
  • Flexible work hours (can be 8am through 8pm) to support your work-life balance
  • A supportive work environment where everyone has a ‘learner’s mindset’
  • Professional development in-house (paid 100% of inservice time)
  • Ability to buy-in to a group benefits package after 3 months employment,
  • Professional photography, business cards, cotton work shirts (with collar)
  • Compensation for work-related kms throughout the work day
  • Starting at 2 weeks of paid vacation/year, 5 days of paid sick leave/year
  • 1 week unpaid vacation/year (during closure week between Christmas & New Year's Day)
  • A variety of ‘self care’ and ‘team’ events to promote collegial relationships

DETAILED OUTLINE OF OUR GROUP

We have established intake policies/ practices, unregulated support personnel doing frontline work as assigned by an OT, student OTs, and more!
