What role you will play in our team


This is a site based role, located at Norman Wells Operations in the Northwest Territories. This Regular 5/2 work schedule (Monday to Friday). This role provides the opportunity to work directly at the operation supporting optimization for both plant and field facilities. This role would report to the Norman Wells Technical Supervisor, with primary technical direction and mentorship from the Facilities Engineering Lead.


What you will do


  • Management of Change projects involving engineering design for facility modifications and enhancements (piping, pipelines, instrumentation, rotating equipment etc.).
  • Perform regular process surveillance of area driven KPI’s and troubleshooting, provide recommendations to Operations for optimization opportunities.
  • Work across Technical, Operations, and Maintenance groups to optimize plant production and resolve process issues.
  • Perform studies to identify enhancement opportunities, finalize studies with engineer design packages for execution.


About You


Skills and Qualifications


  • Holding a BSc Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required


Preferred Qualifications/ Experience


  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment
  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
