Sr. .Net Developer (MVC) to design and develop multiple applications within the regulatory industry

Location: Toronto (minimal on site work)

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Delivery of assigned components across multiple environments using organization standards for SAP transports.
• Document and unit test applications
• Contribute ideas on improving development activities
• Activate participation in the project and team meetings, including with business leads and other areas of IT
• Perform assigned work including coding, unit testing, fixing defects, documentation, etc.
• Participate in the design and development process following SDLC requirements and standards
• Develop assigned components compliant with coding standards and practices.
• Work with various groups for project planning, estimations and reviews
• Provide post-implementation support analyzing system issues in a timely manner
• Take ownership of assigned development components and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders as required

Must Have:

• LINQ
• Bootstrap
• Able to derive technical requirements from business requirements
• Team Foundation Server
• MVC 5
• CSS
• JavaScript
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• JQuery
• ADO.NET
• Skill for writing reusable libraries
• Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
• Advanced skills in documentation, presentation, knowledge transfer and training to team
• SQL Server/T-SQL
• 5+ years of experience in core .NET
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
