Job Description

Looking for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter with 2 or more years experience. This role helps support the Team Lead to focus on productivity rather than administrative tasks.The underwriter is responsible for structuring complex deals and review all inbound documents and communication with clients. This role will be assuming responsibility for the mortgage administrative activities for the mortgage sales team.


Required Qualifications


  • A strong understanding of A, B, and Private lending
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in excel, lender portals, and mortgage broker platforms (i.e. Velocity, Filogix, etc.)
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage deadlines
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and underwriting guidelines
  • 2 or more years experience in Structuring and Underwriting Mortgage Deals
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Mortgage Agent License
  • Multilingual an asset


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Compensation


Base salary of $40,000 - $55,000 PLUS Bonus opportunities
