Mechanical Engineer Jobs

TechSearching for our client, a mining equipment manufacturer, we have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed drawings to capture, process, dimensions, inspection and other pertinent engineering information utilizing knowledge of engineering principles and applicable design standards and EHS regulations.

Work with mining customers on customized design solutions as required for capital equipment and/or piping solutions.

Work with manufacturing operations, product management and sales to ensure consistent/quality engineering design output.

Work with shop employees to help drive and implement standards and improvements to our processes.

Provide engineering support to service and parts departments for aftermarket.

Qualifications:

University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and (5+) years of mobile equipment design experience using Solid works and/or AutoCAD.

Good understanding of manufacturing processes, weldment design and stress analysis.

Previous experience in mining industry as piping engineer would be an asset.

Knowledgeable in fluid mechanics and electrics and an understanding of Bill of Materials/MRP systems/ECN/NCR.

Experienced with project management methodologies and software.

High level of initiative with ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
