Mechanical Designer Ii Jobs

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to design jigs and tooling for the manufacturing of flight simulators.
• Be responsible for the design, and design documentation, including 3D CAD models and 2D drawings parts lists.
• Make recommendations for design modifications in order to meet design requirements during the design, fabrication and testing phases.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and health and safety teams to come up with cost effective solutions to meet our customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, including experience designing jigs and fixtures.
• Proficient with MS-Office tools.
• Knowledge of PLM an asset.
• Experience with CAD software (ex. CREO, Solidworks).
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
• Relevant experience in structural design.
• Team player and reliable.
• Knowledge of CREO an asset.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods using sheet metal and composite materials, and knowledge of welding norms.

RESPONSABILITÉS

• Être responsable de la conception et de la documentation de conception, y compris les modèles CAO 3D et les listes de pièces (dessins) 2D.
• Dépannage et résolution des problèmes.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de fabrication, de l’ingénierie et de santé-sécurité pour générer des solutions rentables qui répondent aux exigences des clients.
• Formuler des recommandations de modifications techniques en vue de répondre aux caractéristiques exigées au cours de la phase de conception, fabrication et vérification.
• Effectuer, au sein d'une équipe, la conception d’outillage d'assemblage (jigs) pour la conception de simulateurs de vol.

Qualifications

• Maîtrise de de logiciel de CAO (ex. CREO, Solidworks).
• Bon esprit d’équipe et fiabilité.
• Connaissance du logiciel PLM.
• Connaissances de fabrication avec du métal en feuille, de procédures de machinage variés et de normes de soudure.
• Diplôme en génie mécanique ou dans un domaine équivalent.
• Connaissance de CREO un atout.
• Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est requis.
• Expérience pertinente en conception des structures.
• 3+ années d'expérience en conception mécanique, donc de l’expérience en conception d’outillage.
• Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office.
