Now you can, Adecco is currently hiring for several temporary, full-time Light Assemblers - Mechanical Assembly in Ottawa, ON to work for one of our reputable clients Sanmina. Sanmina designs, manufactures, and repairs some of the most complex and innovative optical, electronic, and mechanical products in the world!

In this role you will assemble components and operate various manufacturing equipment. This role requires 1-2 years of related work experience in the manufacturing and mechanical assembly industry with working knowledge in product inspections, quality issues or concerns related to customer products. • Pay rate: $18.00/Hour
• Location: Ottawa, ON
• Shifts: Various days | 8:00AM - 4:00PM; 4:00PM - 12:00AM; 12:00AM - 8:00AM
• Job type: Temporary | Full time

Responsibilities:

• Uses a variety of current software to properly execute required computer transactions, such as SFDC, Agile, and Excel
• Identifies and applies ECO modifications or other instructions
• Identifies, articulates, and escalates problems for Technical Support and assists in gathering requested information
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards
• Uses pneumatic tools and equipment as well as hand tools for assembly purposes and provides support to the Team Lead
• Assembles components according to specific drawings and procedures and process documentation
• Orders and ensures any printed labels are correct and transacted to the correct planned order on tracker
• Supports other company requirements when necessary
• Properly executes on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions
• Operates various manufacturing equipment according to documented processes and defined schedules and loads

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge in product inspections, quality issues or concerns related to customer products
• Must be customer focused and able to articulate technical and/or quality issues to Team Lead
• Willing to work with internal teams to identify process improvements and implement continuous improvement plans
• Minimum 1-2 years' related work experience
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• Keyboarding knowledge and good leadership skills to provide training and guidance to team members
• Able to read, interpret and comprehend kitting protocols, process documents, and instructions
