Summary

STEMCELL’s Distribution team is looking for an experienced Team Lead to supervise and mentor our Material Handling team at our Station Street location in Vancouver.


If you have previous leadership experience in a warehouse environment along with great communication skills, and are interested in joining Canada’s largest Biotech company, this could be the perfect role for you!



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the daily workload of the assigned function and collaborate effectively with cross-departmental stakeholders to provide essential logistical support and services
  • Work with materials of varying hazard levels across different storage conditions, including but not limited to; 2-8 °C and -20 °C
  • Lead by example, and ensure team members follow all safety, security and regulatory requirements, work instructions and procedures as applicable
  • Directly manage staff, including day-to-day scheduling and time off, conducting performance reviews and career planning, and managing performance improvement plans with the functional Manager as needed
  • Perform transactions and troubleshoot errors in the company’s ERP system (SAP)


Knowledge And Qualifications


  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Great computer skills with the ability to use the company ERP system (SAP), and other software applications as needed (MS Office, Gmail etc.)
  • Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills
