Job Description
Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Material Handler - Forklift Operator to work directly for our client located in Bowmanville ON. In this role, you would have several duties and responsibilities you must fulfill. Some of the most common duties every Material Handler will need to accomplish include operating a Counterbalance Forklift to move raw materials into assembly areas and organizing stock in the warehouse and/or containers into small areas, as required.
  • Required availability: Days or Afternoons
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Location: Bowmanville ON.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials to designated locations in the warehouse/plant/storage containers.
  • May be asked to complete other tasks in the department based on skills and qualifications.
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials with equipment.
  • Resourceful
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Adhere to and practice all safety rules as specified by company/ legislation.
  • Perform receiving inspection; deliver product throughout the plant
  • Putting away received materials in the proper storage locations
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Stand for Shift Duration.
  • Strong PC skills (ERP systems, MS Office applications).
  • Important - Have a good physical strength
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Be in good physical condition.
  • One to three years shipping receiving experience required and must have forklift truck certification.
  • Must pass a criminal background check if required
  • Must be healthy and safety conscious with excellent attention to detail
  • Important - Have safety boot
  • Valid forklift certification and COUNTERBALANCE experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent
