Job Description
Job Summary
The incumbent will work within the Manufacturing Department in the following functional areas as assigned by the Manager: Stores, Incoming Inspection, and Shipping & Receiving. This position will be a member of the Bargaining Unit.
Responsibilities
Picking and preparing kits for assembly of product, including verification against applicable documentation
Checking drawing reference and obtaining drawings and correct parts/components and circuit boards required
Inspection of purchased inventory items to Purchase Order and Quality requirements
Perform required process, measurement & inspection for placing product in inventory or quarantine
Perform cycle counts, materials control, adjustments, shipping & receiving transactions as required
Documentation, packing and shipping of products, materials and equipment.
Complete timesheets and required product and process documentation
Following all procedures and work instructions related to the position and verifying own work
Other Duties As Assigned Within The Functional AreasQUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or equivalent
2 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in printed circuit board assembly being preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists and other related documentation
Accuracy and high attention to detail
ERP/Inventory Control knowledge an asset
Recognition of component configurations and familiarity with IPC placement standards preferred
Experience In Shipping/receiving Fundamentals Preferred
Computer skills in MS Office Suite, ERP and shipping / receiving software preferred
REQUIRMENTS
Must be able to communicate clearly in person, on the phone and in writing
Must be able to successfully complete company provided eye exam
Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop
Must be able to climb a stepladder at approximately three feet in height
Frequent lifting and carrying - occasionally up to 50 lbs
Must be comfortable using a computer
