What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Site Manager, your general responsibilties include:
  • Special assignments or tasks as requested.(E.g. Shutdown)
  • Responsible for inspections and record keeping.
  • Monitor and remove all flammable, hazardous, and non-hazardous products and waste from line side and move to designated areas.
  • Good reading skills for understanding labels and standard operating procedures
  • Good mechanical skills for understanding how machinery works, and being able to safely apply knowledge, if required.
  • Report all recognized unsafe conditions or acts.
  • Assist other team members as needed (including plant trash and recyclables).
  • Proper handling and management of flammable, hazardous, and non-hazardous products and wastes as scheduled or required.
Responsibilities specific to this role include:
  • Focusing on Skid Reclaim/Collection plant-wide
  • Training as back-up in HazMat’s 1 & 2
  • Support of Facilities Projects and Innovations
  • Collection of Ricoh Toner Cartridges
  • Collection of Kevlar Products from Stamping and Welds
  • Plant 2 Compactor Room Sorting as to HCM’s Circular Recycling Process
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm to complete tasks, and willingness to contribute to a successful team.
  • Ability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm, or 7:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • Good written, mechanical and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate all available equipment (forklift, Cushman, etc.) in adherence with training procedures and company policies.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-based organization, be detail oriented, and enjoy continuous learning.
