Yukon, North of Ordinaryis the first and only full-colour magazine dedicated to showcasing the best the Yukon has to offer. 100% northern.

Our award-winning magazine is published four times a year and is the official in-flight magazine of Air North, Yukon's Airline. It's available across Canada and has a growing paid subscription base. Yukoner's are as proud of this magazine as we are.


Expectations and Requirements:

As the Managing Editor you are organized, on time, and deadline driven. You have a journalism and or English degree. Ideally, you have 2-5 years experience in the publishing or magazine industry and you have close ties the Yukon. You are outgoing—a visible ambassador of theNorth of Ordinarybrand.

As the Managing Editor ofYukon, North of Ordinaryyou'll be working with both writers and photographers to create the content of the magazine with a budget.

You will be responsible for writing content and editing the entire magazine (with our copy editor), managing contributors as well as planning and creating a future editorial line-up.

You will work closely at layout time with our creative-director and copy-editor.

You will be expected to work a few hours a week on otherNorth of Ordinarybrand related projects and the annual edition ofYNoO Road Trip Magazine.

As a visible brand ambassador, your participation in our internet and social media strategy development and implementation is expected.


You will primarily work from your own desk.

This can be a salaried or a contract position.
