  • Job Purpose


Responsible to provide mail services including sorting and processing internal and external mail/packages, pick-ups and deliveries of mail/packages, as well as provide assistance to print services


  • Retrieves package from loading dock as required
  • Performs daily vehicle safety circle check, records details in logbook, and books schedule maintenance and/or repairs
  • Assists print services with activities such as binding, collating, laminating, stocking shelves and wrapping and shipping of printed materials
  • Picks up and delivers mail and packages according to route schedule as well as special pick-ups and deliveries
  • Operates folding and sorting machines and undertakes quality control for document inserts and envelope seals
  • Education, Certification, and Experience
  • Sorts and processes internal and external mail and packages
  • Performs daily upkeep and maintenance of vehicle, completes circle check, and logs information
  • Produces statement of mail and maintains record of registered mail
  • Key Duties
  • Prepares toner/printer cartridges for recycling pick up, contacts vendors, and delivers to loading dock
  • Driver’s Licence Class 5
  • Operates and maintains mail inserter, scale and postage machines, and complies with Canada Post regulations
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalency
  • Up to nine months of previous and on-the-job mailroom or shipper/receiver experience
