Job Description

The Machinist A is responsible for creating quality parts produced on various machines such as, but not limited to, lathes and milling machines and general shop equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams.


  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining
  • Certificate of Qualification for Machinist
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to write simple and basic programs for CNC applications
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required

  • Fit and assemble machine components and parts to industry standards
  • Able to operate all Tool Room equipment (equipment that is not computer controlled – milling machine, lathe, grinders, radial drill, drill press, honing machine, band aw, cut off saw, crane, hydraulic press, pedestal grinder and belt sander)
  • Measure, examine and test completed parts, identifying defects and ensuring conformance to specifications and blueprints
  • Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
  • Study and interpret drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, tools to be used, and materials for the job and setup requirements
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication
  • Provide verification of dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production. Report all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
  • Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales
  • Ability to select proper material, heat treat and/or process for tooling requirements

  • Set up and program as necessary CNC machinery
  • 2+ years work experience in a related position
  • Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Ensure work piece dimensions are correct and to established tolerance criteria
  • Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment

The Accounting Administrator performs a variety of general accounting tasks to support the Controller in ensuring various transactions are properly recorded in accordance with the company policies. The duties may focus on payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable or any combination of these.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Responsible for the set up and maintenance of customer accounts in the ERP system.
  • Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Investigates questionable data and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Updates and maintains accounting and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, invoicing).
  • Enters data into computer systems using defined computer programs (ERP, Payroll )
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain up to date billing system and carry out billing, collection and apply customer remittances.
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents and records.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; preparing vouchers; resolving purchase order/contract/ invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Processes accounts payable in accordance with corporate internal control procedures including 3 way match.

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Extensive safety training, new hire orientation, continuous learning and development programs and tuition reimbursement

  • Proficiency with computer applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles
