Logistics Associate
Location: Fort St John, BC
Status: Full time permanent

The organisation are looking for a Logistics Associate to join the team on a full time basis in Fort St Johns.
- Ensures proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked
- Active participation in all inventory and cycle counts
- Maintain the warehouse and yard in a clean and safe manner.
- Examines all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verifies all information against the packing list and SAP
- Equipment maintenance and inspections for forklifts
- Manually picks full-case orders and stacking them onto pallets using a scanner/tablet
- Ensure that all inventory levels are accurate and up to date
- Verifies quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped
- Shipping label preparation and application
- Identifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with Supervisor and/or Lead
- Trailer loading of packed boxes and pallets
- Uses various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and propane lift) to move pallets
- Follows all safety and warehouse procedures and policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
- Certified in WHMIS, TDG, First Aid and H2S
- Must be able to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal directions
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimal level of analytical ability is required
- Be able to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach lift and/or sit-down forklift
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping and/or receiving responsibilities
