Stellar Creative Lab is hiring top talent for a Seth Rogen Animated Series for Amazon Studios.

We are looking for Lighting & Compositing Artists who thrive when creating technically challenging images as they illuminate the world and characters for this prestige streaming series.

The Lighting and Compositing Artist role combines many complementary skills, including a strong aesthetic eye, understanding of the depth of field, lighting, composition, color theory, material design as well as general industry lighting and rendering technology and workflows.

Our ideal candidate has experience with and understands how to use light and shadow to create a strong cinematic image to meet the creative goals of the show.

Your Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to work with multiple media and elements
• Work with your lead to have a clear understanding of deadlines and task assignments.
• Collaborate with other departments on solutions, workflows and deadlines.
• Meet deadlines and task assignments. Asking questions for added clarity.
• Be responsible for lighting, rendering and compositing of your shots to a high standard
• Participate in Asset Look Development or Light Rig Creation for use by other departments.
• Complete fixes or changes requested by lead, director or clients
• Work with others in your department to problem solve together.
• Meet the creative look expectations of the show

Experience, Talents and Abilities we’re looking for:

• Experience with additional software is a plus: Shotgun, Katana, and Deadline.
• Excellent understanding and production experience with Maya and Nuke.
• A great eye for color, contrast, and composition, as well as camera dynamics.
• A strong understanding of lighting fundamentals.
• This is a remote (work from home) position, but if you prefer to work from the studio this is also possible(applicable for artists located in Metro Vancouver)!
• 3+ years of experience with both lighting AND compositing.
• Experience with Arnold and Redshift including a working knowledge of industry-standard rendering concepts and processes.
• Eligible to work in British Columbia
• Ability to identify visual cues and follow directions from key image reference
