Job Description
Ice Cream Maker Supervisor
Gelati Celesti Ice Cream is growing and needs a talented Lead Ice Cream Maker for a full-time position to support production on our evening shift (4-12)! As the Lead Ice Cream Maker, you will be a part of the team that makes the best ice cream in Virginia. The team you will join are hardest working folks around, mixing in our gourmet ingredients to make our handmade ice cream.
Responsibilities of the Ice Cream Maker Supervisor include but are not limited to:
  • Complete and file daily production logs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Lead a team of numerous ice cream makers to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation requirements are being followed.
  • Pour all mixed ingredients into manufacturing machines after setting the correct temperature and time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized space during production.
  • Produce ice cream according to the daily production schedule.
  • Assisting with new flavor development.
  • Light prep for various flavors.
  • Follow the recipe and production protocol explicitly, carefully weigh and measure all ingredients as specified.
Requirement
  • ServSafe certified preferred.
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday second shift (4pm-12am on average)
  • At least 2 years of experience working in food manufacturing environment with 1 year of supervisory experience.
