You are mechanically inclined, have a passion for hockey, and are experienced working in a hockey arena. As a hard-working, self-sufficient, and dependable employee, you’re excited to take on this role that includes maintaining the refrigeration plant and all other aspects of the building as well as having the opportunity to drive the Zamboni. Think of all those hockey, speed and figure skating fans cheering you on!

This is your opportunity to use your Ice Facility Operator (IFO) or Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification and mechanical aptitude to Delta's Planet Ice running at peak efficiency. You will be working alongside an amazing team!!

Ideally, you have your IFO or RO certificate, or you are a 4th or 5th class Power Engineer, and for bonus points, you have a knack for fixing all things mechanical and a couple years’ experience working in an arena. If you’re new to the world of hockey arena operations though have strong mechanical aptitude, relevant work experience, and a positive “can-do” attitude, we can provide training and assist you to become IFO/RO certified.
