Position Title: Labourer

Location: Slave Lake, AB

Position Summary:

A skilled Labourer with League Projects Ltd. has experience working in the industry and is familiar with working on and around natural gas pipelines/hotlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load job vans
• Perform a variety of labour tasks such as hand digging of hotlines, removal of existing coating on pipeline, site set-up, setting-up hoarding, etc.
• This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and may involve additional related duties as delegated and required to meet the ongoing needs of League Projects Ltd.
• Act as a spotter for heavy equipment
• Maintain all equipment and tools in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand
• Wash Equipment
• Complete Task Hazard Assessments (THA’s), Drivers Logs, and review Job Site Assessment
• Participate in daily toolbox Meetings
• Move equipment and materials between sites
• Ability to load and strap down materials on trucks and trailers
• Knowledge of pre-Planning tasks and pre-trip requirements for numerous onsite projects, hydro vac holes, preparation and set up of heat equipment and Gensets, installing snow fence, and dewatering
• Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision

Skills and Required:

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment
• Ability to operate skid steer is an asset
• Minimum 1 – 2 years pipeline experience
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

Certifications and Onboarding Requirements:

• H2S, Frist Aid, Ground Disturbance II would be considered an asset.
• Valid driver license
• Standard First Aid
• H2S Alive
• Able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol screen
• Ground Disturbance

Work Conditions:

• Must be flexible working an adjusted shift schedule if required
• Extensive travel required to various project locations
• Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
