Job Description
Position: Labourer


Division: ATCO Electric


Location: Drumheller, AB


Duration: 6 months


Shift: 4 on / 3 off


Rate: $22.76 per hour

Reporting to the Supervisor, Survey, the Labourer will perform varying duties that are related to assisting the surveying of established and proposed power facilities, while observing ATCO’s safe practices and procedures. Instructions are received verbally from a supervisor or Team Leads and jobs are checked in progress and upon completion to ensure that all duties are completed within company specifications and best practices.

What You Get to Do:


  • Assist with setup of Surveying Instruments and equipment.
  • Assist with flagging of vegetation.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Assist with staking of Electrical Facilities
  • Assist with locating buried facilities.


Qualifications:


  • Valid Class 5 drivers license preferred.
  • 0 -1 years of related experience.
  • Valid First Aid and WHMIS certificates are an asset.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Interpersonal skills, and team focus coupled with the ability to follow instruction and procedures.
  • High School Diploma is required.
