Job Description

Our small independent school in Calgary, Alberta (Haysboro Area) is seeking to hire a full time, Alberta certified teacher for the 23-24 school year. This teacher will be responsible for all general studies subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, ELL and Art) for Kindergarten and Grade 2. We are a Kindergarten to grade 9 school that teaches all Alberta curriculum. We boast small class sizes with excellent opportunities for mentorship and growth within our school. Qualifications

  • A valid Alberta teaching certificate (interim or permanent)
  • Experience working in an educational or childcare setting, particularly with students who have diverse learning needs, is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Education curriculum and inclusive education practices.
  • A dynamic ability to work well with students, staff and families to promote a positive school environment consistent with the school’s philosophy
  • Personal skills, abilities and talents that will promote positive learning, growth and relationships in all aspects of school life.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of all students.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic educational environment.
  • The ability to promote individual, academic and personal growth through an energetic disciplined and insightful approach to all pedagogical processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and parents.
