- Providing technical wildlife support to collaborative project teams
- Provide quality and independent review for projects
- Liaise with on-site client representatives and contractors
- Work collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture
- Provide an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly
- Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of works and deliver quality reports on schedule
- Conducting wildlife surveys and monitoring procedures including breeding bird and herptile surveys, pre-disturbance nest surveys, nest monitoring, various sensitive species-specific surveys, construction mitigation for wildlife, bat surveys and monitoring, and herptile capture and relocation
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology or related field
- Species at Risk experience an asset
- Professional Biologist (Alberta Society of Professional Biologists), or Registered Professional Biologist (British Columbia College of Applied Biologists), dependent on location of home office
- Familiarity with provincial and federal regulations and guidance materials
- Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, team leadership and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
- Multi-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and permit application processes
- Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting
- Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box
- Experience conducting a broad variety of wildlife scopes in pre-construction and construction settings
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to work in physically demanding remote field settings for extended durations, staying in a mix of camp and hotel accommodations
