About the role

Miik Inc is hiring a Junior Content Creator! This is a junior-level position that is a full-time role working hybrid at both our head office in Etobicoke and remotely. Our Junior Content Creator will work collaboratively with our Social Media + Community Manager and Creative Director to maintain the creation of assets (both photo and video) needed across multiple marketing channels including social media content, ad content, email campaigns, and website images.

Are you our Junior Content Creator? In this role you will:

• Create graphics for organic Pinterest pins and post them on a schedule pre-determined collaboratively with our Social Media Manager and SEO specialist.
• Assist in creating and/or editing Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok creative assets including Feed images, Reels, Stories, etc., upon request from our Social Media + Community Manager. This includes being IN video and photo content as well!
• Assist in scheduling/posting social media as needed, upon request from our Social Media + Community Manager
• Assist in creating digital advertising assets upon request, including static images and videos for Facebook ads, Google display ads, Pinterest ads, and/or TikTok ads
• Conceptualize ad and video concepts on a weekly basis for social media assets.
• Assist in creating photo and video assets to the standards and aesthetic of the Miik brand and our Creative Director. This includes videoing/photographing and editing content.
• Assist the Social Media + Community manager in responding to customer comments and DM’s, and engaging with others on our social platforms.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you:

• Attention to detail, self-starter, eagerness to learn and grow, entrepreneurial spirit
• Have prior experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
• 1 year experience creating content that matches a brand’s specific aesthetic or a portfolio which displays as much.
• Experience in image retouching in Adobe Photoshop
• Have experience making relevant, engaging content for social media that does well organically; as well as for ads is an asset

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9-5 with required flexibility on evenings and weekends for social media content and our Virtual LIVE shopping events.
