We are adding 3 Jr. Full Stack Developers in Calgary, AB. This role can be remote (from Calgary) or in-office with 20% flexibility to work remotely. If remote is chosen, we would expect this individual to come into the office at least 1 day a week (Tuesdays).

We are hiring for 3 roles, one within each of the following Teams:

Supply & Revenue Squad - More back-end focused (Node.js)

The Supply & Revenue Management Squad helps support our internal-facing tools related to our virtual credit card management & supplier platform which are part of our custom-built software (SaaS) platform, LodgeLink. This squad uses a mix of front and back-end development, however, tends to do more back-end focused (Node).

Customer Portal Squad - More front-end focused (React.js)

The Customer Portal is our customer-facing web application and enables our customers to interact with our platform to do everything from search for hotels, create, manage, edit bookings and financial reports. Our squad uses a mix of front-end (React.js) and back-end (Node.js) technologies. The Customer Portal squad is slightly more focused on front-end development, specifically in React.js, but we also work on back-end development.

Enterprise Squad - A mix of front and back-end development (Node.js, React.js, GraphQL)

The Enterprise Squad helps to build and support all the internal-facing tools for Finance, Customer Success, Customer Experience, and other members of the Product team! We excel at understanding LodgeLink's unique business problems and translating stakeholder requirements into custom React, Node, GraphQL and TypeScript based tools.

As a member of our growing team, you will have the opportunity to extend our platform using a mix of Node, GraphQL and React in a lean and modern product development environment.

Our ideal candidate is a team player and avid learner who is passionate about finding the right technical solutions to complex problems. They will be a recent graduate of a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent program with up to 2 years of post-graduate work experience. If you’re looking to apply your knowledge and gain development experience in both React and Node.js this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Help build out and troubleshoot our platform;
• Develop and support web applications in a full stack environment with React, GraphQL, Node.js, and REST API technologies;
• Collaborate with your peers and leadership in finding the best solutions to our most challenging business problems.
• Assist in integrating new features by writing quality, test-driven code;

Qualifications

• Experience with GraphQL an asset.
• Experience with TypeScript or other strongly typed language;
• Experience building node.js web applications and Node.js, the React Framework is an asset;
• Previous work experience in software application development (internships included);
• Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;
• Familiarity with automated testing, JavaScript build and deployment systems such as Jest;
• Working knowledge of MySQL;
