What You'll Bring

• 5-8 years of overall technology experience
• Knowledge of Git, Mercurial, Jenkins, Artifactory, Rhodecode, Sonar
• Experience interacting with business users to accurately understand their business area and their requirements.
• Familiar with AWS Cloud or Azure Cloud;
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide alternative solutions to technical problems
• Good understanding of theories, methodologies and principals underlying software development.
• Experience in gated delivery pipeline for Java based applications
• Focused work ethic, with openness and drive to explore new ideas and technologies
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as Postgress, MySQL, db2
• Excellent analysis and problem resolution skills.
• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Broad and in-depth technology skills including Java, relational databases, ETL tools, Windows and Linux servers, networking
• Working experience in delivering Java based enterprise level applications
• Excellent documentation skills
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum and Kanban – Rally
• Fluency in SQL and Unix-based file systems
• Strong at understanding requirements and transforming business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
• Experience with SOAP or REST web services
• Experience developing and updating SOAP and REST services with Spring framework and Spring boot

Impact You'll Make

The incumbent will deliver solutions using JEE and Java Web applications across the TransUnion enterprise. As a member of an experienced software team, the Java Developer will help drive these solutions to provide a best in industry standard for quality, innovation, and efficiency. The Application Development supports TransUnion’s business and consumer systems by improving the efficiency of business operations, applications and operating systems. • Accountability for quality of code and application development
• Partner with internal business resources and technical teams to analyze and implement requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams
• Ensure Transunion design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards are implemented consistently across the organization
• Participate in development and deliver code with consistency, quality, best practices and performance of applications
