Job Requirements:
MATRIX is currently seeking a Janitor to work on a rotational basis at our Bronson Camp (North of Stewart, BC). If you are a team oriented, motivated person with a keen eye for detail, you may just be the fit we are looking for. You will play a key role at one of our remote camps. This position reports to the Camp Manager. Start date is mid-June for this position.
Responsibilities include:

• Wash, dry and replace bed linens as required.
• Inventory of all cleaning supplies and paper products related to office/showers/toilet facilities
• Participate in Mock Medivac scenarios
• Assist with receiving of groceries
• Participate in daily Toolbox meetings and complete daily log.
• Practice good housekeeping in the work area at all times.
• Preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment
• Sweeping and mopping of all floors in toilet and shower facilities;
• Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
• Administration of waste and recycling management program
• Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
• Clean common spaces at work site, TV room, dining room, laundry room, rec room
• Cleaning and sanitizing of all toilet and shower facilities;
• Basic carpentry as required
• Cooking duties as assigned by first cook
• Take garbage to dump
• Support First cook with cleaning in kitchen as required.

Qualifications:

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• Legally able to work in Canada
• Previous plumbing and electrical skills a definite asset
• Detail oriented
• Valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract
• OFA Level 1 first aid an asset
• Team player, good interpersonal skills
• Must be acutely safety minded
• 1-2 Seasons working in a remote camp setting

This position works on a 3 week in / 3 week out rotation (Fully Remote). Preference will be given to those that live in Stewart, BC and surrounding areas.
