Viterra is seeking an Intermediate .NET Developer (IT Application Specialist). The successful candidate will responsible for development and delivery of application code and associated documentation to support and enhance the overall operation of information technology systems. This position will assist in providing continuous support for process improvements within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve issues with applications and carry out agreed applications maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to selection of the software development approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive or adaptive approaches.
• Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor complex programs/scripts and integration software services, while ensuring that appropriate modelling techniques and agreed software design standards, patterns and methodology are followed.
• Install or remove hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools.
• Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.

Knowledge And Skills

• Knowledge of PL/SQL, C# .NET and Java is required; PowerBuilder is an asset.
• Knowledge of the agricultural industry will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge and understanding of information systems as well as application programming, database and system design.

Education And Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, or Data Processing Diploma would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in related Information Technology Systems.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
