RelyOn Nutec Canada is an ISO registered service-based company focused on exceeding our client's requirements, on time the first time. We provide safety and survival training to the onshore, offshore Oil & Gas industry, industrial, maritime sectors, Civilian and Military Aviation.

We are accepting applications for qualified candidates to support our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Training Center. We are looking for individuals who are able to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment; will effectively integrate into a team; and are respectful and professional with co-workers, management, and clients. Our Industrial Services Technicians operate in work locations that may be loud, cold or hot, wet and humid, in low or zero visibility environments, confined spaces, and are very physical in nature.

Major Duties

• Provide guidance and input to clients for job related safety and emergency response.

• Provide Onsite safety advice and assistance to the client in such areas as Hazard Identification Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hazardous Materials, and Rope Rescue, and Atmospheric Testing where applicable.

• Provide rescue equipment, and retrieval from confined spaces in the event of an emergency

• Provide excellent customer service and follow and abide by all RONC Safety Standard Operating Procedures

• Follows handling, inspection, cleaning and preventative maintenance guidelines for all rescue equipment so that it is in a constant state of readiness

• Completion of rescue plans specific to the customer site and/or job

• Identification of site-specific rescue anchor points and development of site-specific raising/lowering plan

• As part of a team perform duties such as Attendant, Rescue Technician and Air cart / Air trailer operator.

• Completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation

•Assistance in assessing potential hazard

Qualifications

·Grade 12 or equivalent

·Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

·Confined Space Entry and Rescue

· Fall Protection

·Standard First Aid with CPR & AED certificate

·Firefighting experience

·Rope Rescue
