INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC MILLWRIGHT (rotational shifts)
$45.90 an hour + shift premiums

Our recruitment team is currently working with one of the most tenured manufacturers in BC, featured for being an organization that faces consistent growth and work safety and stability. Currently on the search for Red Seal Millwrights in the area of Richmond.
The Role
The main duties of the Industrial Mechanic Millwright include performing repairs on gearboxes, hoists, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems, carrying out maintenance inspections, and reading of schematic drawings.
This position requires a schedule rotation between mornings and afternoons. Morning shifts run from 7 AM to 3 PM. Afternoon shifts run from 3 PM to 11 PM (paid premium). Offering the opportunity to choose to work straight Monday to Fridays, Sunday to Thursdays, or Tuesday to Saturdays.
Responsibilities
  • Preventative initiatives
  • Use of plasma cutters
  • Determine work procedures through analysis of equipment diagrams and drawings
  • Fabrication of small parts using welding techniques
  • Following company procedures
  • General maintenance and repairs
Requirements
  • Ability to abide by health and safety measures
  • 5+ years of relatable experience in an industrial setting as a Millwright
  • Red Seal certification
  • Ability to communicate clearly expectations and best practices
  • Experience working with conveyors, gas furnaces, and air quality systems
  • Problem-solving, leadership, and time management skills
