General Manager - Small Resort

Our client is currently seeking a Resort General Manager for their first-class small boutique resort property in Laurentians, Quebec. The General Manager will possess a full spectrum of operational experience and entrepreneurial flair for this boutique resort property with exquisite and unusual rooms and villas and food and beverage, which has won numerous awards for its outstanding hospitality services to its guests.

The General Manager of this lovely year-round resort property located on major acreage will assume total responsibility, including excellent sales/marketing-savvy and particular strengths in sales and marketing, rooms division, and customer relations, coupled with outstanding knowledge of all areas of food and beverage.

Ensure that the group’s mission statement and fiscal and qualitative objectives are met. They are seeking the talents of an outstanding individual who must have strong guest service knowledge and is extremely guest oriented as well as having a keen eye for details.

This position is suitable for an individual who is a visible, proactive person with excellent “hands-on” skills, capable of developing strategies and business plans to deliver strong resort results. He/she must be a proven sales leader and understand every aspect of optimizing revenue.

You must also possess excellent leadership, training and mentoring skills and not be afraid of getting your hands dirty. He/she must be able to apply creativity in guest accommodation packages and work with the food and beverage and culinary management team to develop outstanding menu planning, and food and drink merchandising and strive to “wow” the guest at every opportunity.

The ideal candidate should be dynamic, charismatic, result-oriented and someone who thinks like an entrepreneur and should have a successful history of increasing revenues and profits by implementing aggressive marketing initiatives and productivity and have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English and French.

The remuneration package will be a starting base salary in the range of $130,000, accommodation (house) Automobile, an outstanding annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
