We are seeking General Labourer to join our Operations Team to support our Bottling & Cellars Harvest Team!


We are currently interviewing and making offers for positions starting in May. Reporting into the Bottleshop Supervisor, the General Labourer will be responsible for providing support to the Lead Line Operator while working with the Bottle shop team to ensure the efficient production of finished goods which meets both Company and Government quality and work safe practices.


In August, the teammate will support Cellars Harvest which is approximately 3 to 4 months in duration with opportunities in both the Crush Pad and the Cellars. No previous experience required as we offer robust training program.


12-hour continental shift work is required (days and nights).


Our future Harvest Team will participate in training sessions mid-August 2023 on a PART-TIME basis and will begin FULL-TIME work at the beginning of September.

The Requirements...


  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload on a daily basis
  • Communicate effectively and work safely with co-workers
  • Forklift training
  • Ability to lift in excess of 22 kg on a regular basis; standing, climbing, bending and walking
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Substantial attention to detail required
  • HACCP and ISO training
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Cellar & Packaging quality experience an asset


the General Labourer role...


  • Reprocessing as required i.e., re-labeling, dumping, inspection.
  • Inspect and make machine set-up adjustments to ensure the product is free of defects and meets final product specifications.
  • Participates in the Maintenance of all areas in the Bottle Shop through collaboration with all Team members.
  • Will be required to work afternoon shifts .
  • Training of other team members upon request.
  • Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions / hazards to their reporting Manager.
  • Trouble shoots and make minor adjustments.
  • Assists maintenance and lead operators during scheduled shutdowns.
  • Ensures safe work practices are followed. Reports work related injuries and hazards immediately to the Production Supervisor.
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement in the competencies of a Level 1 and Level 2 line operator.
  • Maintains quality standards by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Reports any and all quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.


the Harvest role...
  • Inoculation buildups for fermentations; Adding oak bags to tanks as directed
  • Operating equipment to crush, ferment, and clarify grapes, juice and wine under the guidance of the Cellar Lead Hand
  • Cellars: Juice / Wine transfers and rackings, operating the centrifuge, setting up and operating pumps, yeast rehydrator, inoculations.
  • Consistently following standard operating procedures to ensure wine quality
  • Crush Pad: dumping grape bins, operating pumps, fermenters crusher/destemmer
  • Promoting a Health & Safety culture by learning & following safe work procedures, working in compliance with EH&S regulations
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment as directed
  • Taking temperatures and samples for laboratory analysis
  • Making material additions to juice or wine as directed
