JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a talentedSlot Game Artistwith experience creating casino slot machine games to work on projects for several of our international clients. For this position, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and developing illustration and animation for casino slot games, including game theme, characters, UI and symbols.

Please note:you must have experience creating illustrations and animations for casino slot games.This includes determining and implementing the style, technique and medium best suited to produce desired effect while conforming to production requirements.

You must show us a strong portfolio of artwork including original character design, detailed backgrounds and landscapes, and at least some minor animation. (All applications must be accompanied by portfolio images or a website portfolio link).

JOB RESPONSIBILITY & EXPERIENCE

• Initiative and drive to do great things.
• Expertise in art and game rules and what makes successful/unsuccessful game art. Understands and applies industry art design standards and art requirements.
• Ability to work with teams in multiple countries.
• Strong graphic design skills; provides 2D and/or 3D user interface screens and information/instruction graphics for incorporation into final games. Provides high-resolution art assets for print teams’ utilization.
• Creates computer-generated animation of UI, symbols, effects, and/or characters.
• Modifies game art under tight deadlines. Understands full range of game types, products, and platforms. Can complete complex data setup of complex game art parts, and use new techniques, products, and platforms.
• True artistic drawing skills and experience - graphic design work is not enough.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Follows company art direction and production pipeline.
• Highly proficient in the development process for game art.
• Aligns each game’s art creation with the functional spec/graphic proposal, including conceptual art and storyboards.
• Prepares data for in-game implementation, working within production requirements in collaboration with the software team.
• Complies with the company’s regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities, research, and learning skills.
• Photoshop software experience required; Illustrator, Flash, Maya 3D software experience desirable.
• Collaborates with Game Designer and Manager to finalize artwork for each project. Provides artwork for review at appropriate stages, and applies feedback accordingly with quick turnaround.
• Creates and/or enhances drawings, game themes, characters, symbols, and effects.
