Position Overview


This role will report directly to the Area Manager and support our residential operations team. In this role the candidate will be responsible for leading operations in a specific geographic region directing multiple crews and equipment as well and planning the execution of the required work.


Job Duties


  • Provide support and expertise and leadership on more specialized jobs.
  • Assist in recruitment of team members
  • Crew lead’s are trained on all aspects of the job.
  • Take the lead in planning, sequencing, and execution of assigned work for crews.
  • Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance of all equipment within a specific location.
  • Provide mentorship and training and oversee development
  • Responsible for all safety metrics within the district.
  • Support other regions where required.
  • Operate up to 8-ton crane.
  • Safely and efficiently lead multiple crews and equipment in providing arboricultural care for our clients.


Qualifications


  • Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
  • Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Arborist
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years as a supervisor/lead.
  • ISA Certification a must
  • Pesticide and herbicide license preferred
  • Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
  • Certificate in crane operation, up to 8 ton required.
