Forensic Auditor / Leading Professional Regulator

A prestigious professional services organization located downtown is seeking an experienced Forensic Auditor to join their team.

Salary Range 115-125k Plus 4 weeks vacation Remote position except 1 onsite day per month for department meetings.

In this role, you will lend your expertise to the investigation of a wide range of issues related to professional misconduct , conduct unbecoming, licensing and or unauthorized practice. You will identify risk, make recommendations with respect to the resolution of matters involving allegations of misuse or misconduct, apply principles of forensic auditing and fraud detection to the investigation, assist Discipline Counsel in the preparation of cases for hearings and act as a witness when needed.

Candidates should ideally possess 5 years’ experience in forensic accounting preferably within a regulatory environment coupled with a Canadian accounting ( CPA) designation is a MUST. A Diploma in Investigative & Forensic Accounting (DIFA) would be an asset.

• In depth understanding of current trends and developments in accounting practices, their practical applications and forensic investigation techniques
• Computer literacy, including word processing software, advanced spreadsheet functions and accounting system software.
• Knowledge of a variety of dispute resolution techniques and their appropriate application.
