ERP Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading Canadian bank. As an ERP Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a particular focus on Jboss, infrastructure, MQ, and Oracle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of ERP solutions and the smooth operation of critical business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, configuring, and implementing ERP systems to meet business requirements.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting ERP applications, modules, and associated components.
- Collaborating with business users to gather requirements and develop solutions to streamline processes.
- Performing system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in coordination with IT teams.
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Conducting system testing, debugging, and documentation of configurations and customizations.
- Collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance and availability of ERP systems.
- Working with database administrators to ensure efficient and secure data management within Oracle databases.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of data migration strategies and workflows.
- Staying updated on emerging ERP trends, technologies, and best practices.
Must-Haves:
- Strong knowledge and experience in ERP systems, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Jboss application server administration and configuration.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure components and their interaction with ERP systems.
- Experience working with MQ (message queue) technologies for data integration and communication.
- Expertise in Oracle database administration, including performance tuning and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of ERP system architecture, modules, and integration points.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and project documentation.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with specific ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with ERP systems (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
- Certification in relevant ERP technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, SAP Certified Development Associate).
